John Doyle - Crank Calls :: Comedy MP3 Files

download torrent

These albums are totally free, they are crank calls from when I was in the dorms while at college from 1993 - 1994. You are welcome to download and distribute them as you please, as long as you provide them free of charge. If you host them on your web site, please provide a link back to this page, although it is not required.

Hopefully you will find them as funny as we did when we created them. Note: my name is not really "John Doyle", I just picked that name out of my ass so people wouldn't report me if they got pissed.

For starters I recommend "The Job", "Tech Support" and "Luggage Repair" from Phreaker, and "Flight Schedule", "Exxon's Neil", and "Angry Shell Employee" from Phone Dance. Those are my favorites, but I've heard positive comments about all of them. Please let me know what you think! It would be great to hear from you.

A Brief History

A bit of trivia about these crank call mp3s. Back in 1997 when I first started getting into the Internet, I went to mp3.com and noticed they didn't have a "comedy" section on their site, so I emailed them asking them to add on, since I had some comedy mp3s I wanted to upload. They emailed me back and promptly added the comedy section to their site. I uploaded all the files, and was the first person to add anything to the comedy section of mp3.com! The amount of downloads per day for my songs was staggering - Some of these were on the mp3.com Top 10 list for awhile for the most downloaded mp3s. I even got an email from a DJ in Chicago who said he'd play my mp3s on the air if I could mail him a CD. Unfortunately, I never got around to it, because I didn't have a CD burner at the time.

Hopefully, people will pass this site around to their friends and they'll download the mp3s once again!
